Facts About Palestine

Palestine is a meeting point for the countries of Asia and Africa and it’s capital is Jerusalem, and it forms the southwestern part of the geographical unit in the Levant, and borders it from the North Syria and Lebanon ,from the East Jordan,from the West the Mediterranean and from South Egypt.

Moreover, the history of Palestine begins in the period between 7500 and 3100 BC, this is confirmed by archaeological discoveries that were found in southern Nazareth in Jabal Al-Qafra and near Tiberia.

Also, Palestine has been under occupation since ages and fell under Roman control and became one of it’s states then became liable by Byzantium in the middle of the seventh century AD, then Muslims opened it and it became one of the Arab states, Palestine developed into the British mandate after the first World War in 1917 and remained till 1948 which gave away to the Jews to establish their state in it after signing the Balfour Declaration and then Palestine grow under the Israeli occupation until today.

Furthermore,Palestine has a huge historical position due to it’s ancient civilisation followed it ,among its most important landmarks are the Dome of the Rock Mosque, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and its villages are the village of Awin Rafah, the village of Ain Naquba, the village of Khirbet al-Louz, the village of Deir al-Sheikh, the village of Ashwa, the village of al-Bureij, the village of Beit Mahsir, the village of Jerash, and among its areas Beit Hanina, Kafr Aqab, Jabal Abu Ghunaim, Beit Safafa, Abu Al-Tor, Jabal Al-Mukaber, Al-Issawiya, Ras Al-Amoud, Wadi Al-Joz, Jabal Al-Zaitoun, Umm Tuba, and Al-Walajah.
